The Library
What Claude does
Click a button on the left to see how a librarian's job maps to Claude's tools.
When you talk to Claude, it doesn't just read your words. It has context — a window into your whole project.
Claude remembers the whole conversation you've had with it — every question you asked and every answer it gave.
Claude can see the files in your project. It reads them to understand what you're building and what needs to change.
Claude remembers the recent actions it took — which files it read, what edits it made, and what tools it ran.
Claude's context window has a limit. When it gets too full, the oldest parts start to fade away, like a scroll rolling up.
Add messages, files, and tool calls to fill up Claude's context window!
Drag each tool onto the description that matches it. On mobile, tap the tool then tap the slot.
Given a request, put Claude's steps in the right order!

Let's see what you've learned about talking to Claude!
Here's what you've learned in this lesson
Claude is like a super-smart librarian. It has tools it uses to help you: Read, Write, Edit, Bash, Glob, Grep, and more.
Claude has a context window — it can see your conversation, your files, and what it's been working on. But that window has a limit!
When you ask Claude to do something, it plans the steps, picks the right tools, and gets to work.
But what happens when Claude needs help with something really big?
Next time: Teamwork...
